"Bringing The Story To Life"

My name is James Yaw, and I am a photographer based in Rochester, New York with a passion for capturing authentic moments and creating meaningful visual stories. While I’ve certainly done some traveling over the years, Rochester has always been home—and it continues to inspire much of my work.

Growing up, I spent many weekends helping on my grandparent’s farm, which gave me a love for simple living, hard work, and a touch of country charm. (Yes, I’ve ridden a horse or two—and I can still pull off a good southern drawl!)

My creative journey took a big step forward in college, where I studied multimedia and communication. It was in my last few semesters that I took a class on web design, and I ended up building my first website, which opened the door to pursuing photography and storytelling more seriously.

Over the years, my faith as a Christian has become a defining part of my life and the heart behind my journey with photography. I aim to capture moments that reflect purpose, hope, and the beauty of God’s work in everyday moments.
