Why Choose A Cowboy As A Brand?
From time to time I’ll get asked the question, “Why choose a cowboy? You grew up in the suburbs!” Then I’ll laugh and say, “Well hey, let me tell you a story!”
As I was growing up, we would spend a lot of time at my grandparents farm, where the horses who lived there would trot over to take fruit out of your hand. As my grandparents passed on, my family eventually sold the farm, rehomed the horses, and *almost* everyone moved to the city. I still cherish the good old days though.
In those old western movies, the cowboy took center stage, and to this day, is a timeless and recognizable symbol. The cowboy is rooted in American history, and often shrouded in mystery. An adventurer and a risk taker, as well as one whom countless stories are told.
Why the number 43?
I prefer to keep my faith at the center of the story, and so the number 43 actually comes from Isaiah 43 in the Bible.
The people are in a tough spot. God promises His people that they should not be afraid, as He is going to redeem them, and make them into a great nation.
As I take photos, as I create content, as I tell stories, I let the Holy Spirit take the lead, and the cowboy in me is always eager to follow along for the ride.
